Nokia N70
By Vinit Nair onNokia N70 is a 3G smartphone. It si somewhat similar to 6680 with a conventional boxy shape functional(but small) keypad with a five-way scroll key, two soft keys, anapplication key, and a multimedia key. The N70 is slightly thickerthan the 6680, but lighter. The screen is a good size and the twocameras are well located. Overall, it's a good, practical designfor a smartphone, and the most traditional-looking of the Nseriesphones. The surface does scratch however, so take good care of it. It has got high quality 2 megapixel camera with 20x digital zoom, an integrated flash and a choice of modes includingscenery, portrait, night and sports. We can control settingssuch as brightness, white balance settings and colour tones. But sadly the camera quality isn't as good as the 2 megapixel camera onthe Sony Ericsson K750i orW900i.There's a dedicatedcamera button and a protective slide. Nokia XpressPrint enablesyou to print photos directly to a PictBridge-compliant printer.Video recording is also possible.A Movie Director application is supplied for editing videos. The front camera is for video calling and girls can use it for checking their makeup :)
The display on the N70 isvery good with 262k colours and a bright active matrix display. It's a great multimedia device. The RealPlayer media player supports video playbackin MPEG4 format, plus audio in a choice of formats including MP3,AAC, Real Audio, WAV and Nokia Ring Tones.(No WMA :(sadly). The Visual Radio letsyou listen to songs from radio stations, with information aboutthe song and artist. The Visual Radio is a network service and it might not be available. A headset is also provided with the package with which you can control volume as well as answer calls. The internal memory of the phone is 22 MB and you'd get a 1GB MMC card . connectivity is via Bluetooth or USB.
