Nonstick Color Coded 4 Paring Knives By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Nonstick Color-Coded 4" Paring Knives- there is a reason that these knives come with a cover and it's because they are extremely sharp. I like these knives. I do not use these knives as paring knives because the way I peel vegetables or fruit I would cut myself. I use these knives for chopping. These knives have high carbon stainless steel blades. The knives have a nonstick fluorinated resin coating on the blades to make them nonstick. The handles are advertised as non-slip which is important because as I say the blades are sharp. They come in a set of two. One knife is tangerine and the other one is green. They are called color coded so you do not get them mixed up when you are using them. This prevents cross-contamination. They are 7 ¾ inches long. They have a two year limited warranty. Remember: these knives are sharp and should be used carefully and washed carefully. These knives should be kept out of reach of children.I give these knives a 3 on dishwasher ease as I do not have a dishwasher so I would not know.

I always see these on QVC & have been tempted to buy them but haven't yet! I like the fact that they are color coded to prevent cross contamination!

These look like great knives... I would think they would do fine in a dishwasher because of the coating... I like that they have covers too.

Great idea for the different colors, one can be for meats and one for veggies.

Those knives are quite colorful! The price is pretty good too... not sure if the shipping would add too much to the cost, though.. do you recall how much they were to ship?

Rae777

The site says it was $3. 97 for shipping.

I don't understand why it would matter if you mixed them up.

I must admit I have wondered that myself. I guess theres a chance someone might cube raw meat and then turn around and chop vegetables for a salad? lol Its how they were advertised. I make sure I wash my knives before doing things like that. I know when I fry chicken and I cut a piece open to see if its done I make sure that knife is washed before I do anything else with it if the chicken is not done. Maybe its just me being cautious.
