I bought this little stainless steel trash can for my brother for Father's Day. He loves this Norpro 94 Composter Keeper and says it works wonderfully. He keeps it on the counter right next to the sink. It is attractive, handy, and stylish. He has other stainless steel appliances that compliment this composter very nicely. The wide mouth allows him to put food scraps such as veggie peels, egg shells, coffee grounds, etc. in without spilling anything on the counter. It's easy to empty and easy to clean. It has a tight-fitting lid ands holds about 1 gallon of kitchen waste. He only needs to make one trip every few days to the compost pile outside. The charcoal filter seems to control all odors.The filter only needs to be changed every six months so it is not expensive. There aren't any fruit flies or gnats to deal with. My little bro is so happy with this and I think it is well worth the price.
