Norstar's Big Man's Black Microfiber Office Chair

My old computer chair looked terrible. The cushion in the seat was no longer cushiony and two cats had mistaken this chair as a scratching post to be used as a place to sharpen their claws. With my birthday coming up I decided it was time to treat myself to a new chair. I looked online and saw Norstar's Big Man's Black Microfiber Office Chair.

This chair is very roomy and features:
-a spring tilt mechanism which locks in any position within tilt range
- a pneumatic gas-lift that allows you to adjust it to varying heights
- has a black microfiber covering
-has a 27 inch base
-the back is 25"W x 26-1/2"H
-the seat size: 23-3/4"W x 20"Dvery roomy
-the seat height: 19-1/2" to 22-1/2"H
- so overall this chair is 31-1/4"W x 27"D x 43" to 46"H

What I liked right off about this chair is that it has a metal base. The legs are metal. A lot of computer chairs come with plastic legs and other parts that are plastic. These chairs generally won't last long if their plastic.

Another thing I liked about this chair is its designed to be used as much as you want and will hold up to 350 pounds. A lot of computer chairs are designed for light use and hold up to a certain weight limit. I wanted a good sturdy chair that would last a while.

The best past of this chair is that a chair like this usually starts at $300 and can even cost more. I got this one for about $207 and that includes tax. Shipping was free.

Overall, I really like this chair. The only problems: the seat could use a little more cushioning just in case years of wear flattens it out.Also, the chair smells funny but that seems to be going away or I am getting use to the smell. :)

Update On Mar 30, 2010: A year later and I am still liking this chair. Very roomy! I have used it a lot so it seems durable.
