North Carolina Aquarium, Roanoke Island By kimmtd on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island is a nice place to take your family and have a fun time. It is a kinda small aquarium, a few hours is more than enough time to enjoy everything there. They have fish, otters, gators, and more fish!

The aquarium is located near the Outer Banks/Nags Head on the North Carolina shore. It has educational programs that are available to the public. As well as some interactive displays like petting the sting rays! The have a nice tank of playful otters, a large tank with some gators, and of course many tanks of fish and other sea life, my favorite was the Seahorses! The aquarium does have a super-large tanks filled with fish and sharks!

If you are vacationing at the Outer Banks, or are traveling by, definitely stop and take a break at the aquarium. The cost was quite reasonable and it's an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon!
