Norton Security By Alex71 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
From my experience with many Norton products, I have to say that they aren't too great. I look at Norton vs other protection software and pretty much compare it like this: Norton is heavy and slow. It's very good at protecting, but when it comes to detection of threats, you can forget about it. Full system scans took me hours to complete, and most of the "threats" were just cookies. I think of other software, like EZ Antivirus, were quick and easy to use. The scan had found many cookies and a trojan horse. But, as I stated before, the protection is great! When I download something, the software will go through the file automatically to search for any threats. On to another topic, the speed. The scans are extremely slow as stated before, and when playing video games or basically doing anything, you can count on Norton to be there and slow you down!

We are having all kinds of problems with Norton at work. Everyone is complaining about how much we have slowed down. I can't wait till they find something else and take this off. Thanks
I agree that if there is one wordthat I could use that would best describe Norton's it would be - SLOW! While Norton's was slow for me for my guys computer before I upgraded his memory, it pretty much brought it down to a screeching halt! There are much better performing products out there. Some of them are even free!
I have Norton. It works pretty goof for me but my computer is new but I have heard it can slow down some computers.
