Not Another Cold Sore By zoink57 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Much to my dismay last week I got a cold sore. You just know that tingling feeling on your lip is going to become a giant lip monster. As soon as I could that day, I went to Target to pick up a product to combat the oncoming cold sore. I decided upon Abreva due to the claim on the package and advertising that it is the only FDA approved product to shorten the healing time of cold sores and fever blisters. Working in an office, the last thing I needed was everyone staring at my lip. I started my treatment with Abreva on Monday evening and by Thursday morning the swelling in my lip had diminished, leaving only the small sore on my lip which was getting smaller each day. Unlike other cold sore medications, Abreva keep the cold sore dried out not oozing all the time. It also relieved the pain and itching that is associated with cold sores. I was extremely happy with this product, compared with other cold sore/fever blister products it would be the one I would purchase again and recommend highly to others.

This is also a problem of mine. Product sounds great, worth trying.

Thankfully, I've never been bothered by cold sores, but it's good to know that it really works!

Nothing worse than a cold sore, I am not cothered by them but I have friends who I can pass this recommendation to. Thank you for sharing.
