Nougat Anyone? By msculit on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The recent trip to Italy brought about a lot of discoveries, including snacks and candies! I thought I'd only eat pasta and yummy gelatos there but thanks to Fiumuccino's Duty Free, I managed to purchase this creamy, if not super hard, nougat candy.

I bought it because the wrapping is quite extra-ordinary. Appealing and very clean looking. Once I tried what was inside, I felt a tinge of disappointment because the nougat was rock-hard! I swear, I could use a jack-hammer to break a portion just so I could eat it. Kidding aside, it is tasty but hard. I think that's the one-thing that sort of put me off on the product. The sugary taste is okay and the almonds were fine. I don't think we can eat or chew it without pounding it to mulch. I don't know how my brother managed to eat 1/4 of the bar but I couldn't unless I really cut it into small, bite-size portions.

I will not recommend this as a gift because of that. If you're into snacking and likes to please your sweet tooth then go ahead, get one of these Italian nougats.
