Nuon Batteries Iffy At Best By Dave on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I needed a new laptop battery so I picked up one at the local battery speciality store after doing my homework on what I'd need. This Nuon battery was the right voltage, right compatibility, right everything --- too bad I didn't know that it would break within about three months of use.

Break? Yeah. The battery turned into a worthy doorstop about three months into its use and I am sure as hell disappointed.

As well, the battery lost its charge quickly while in use -- much quicker than the battery it replaced. It was the right battery for my laptop, but it certainly was underwhelming in its performance even before it broke.

The battery was made in China. That might explain things.

Would I recommend this brand to anyone? No. It was a waste of $120 and I had to go buy another battery to replace this one -- another $100 in cost! I'm not made of money but I do want a usable laptop I can use on the job, w/o being plugged in.

Avoid Nuon laptop battery products - you're just throwing away your money.
