Nutrafin Max Turtle Gammarus Pellets By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

It's not enough that I have three dachshund pups and three fish aquariums to take care of, I even have a few wild turtles out in my backyard. The yard is completely fenced in, so these guys have to get food or they will starve. So I feed them, of course. I put lettuce and tomato and some other types of food out in a special reptile dish for them, but I also like to feed them food expressly for turtles.

Nutrafin Max Turtle Gammarus Pellets are great for these guys. It is complete food for all turtles, and they seem to like it because the pellets disappear, so they must be eating them. I put the dish of turtle food under one of the sheds we have in the backyard, where the dogs can't get to it but the turtles can. This food can also be fed to other reptiles and amphibians. It contains a calcium-rich natural ingredient which helps to keep the turtles' shells hard and also contains Vitamin D3 (whatever that is), besides other mineral and vitamin supplements.

I have a 2 oz. container at the present time, and it comes in a larger size as well. If you have turtles, or your kids do, the turtles would probably enjoy this food. I haven't heard my guys complain. :)
