Nvidia GeForce 440 MX

Even for a budget card, this one is really bad. With slow clock speeds couple with minimal pipelines, gaming is way off limits. The MX 440 is a basic card. The input and output include a simple VGA input and S-Video output. When using this card to view movies on a dvd player, the card's overall temperature increases several degrees. The most pathetic thing about this card is the missing pixel shader. Most games created after 2005 require this simple function that most cards have. Even cards that were created before the MX 440 have pixel shader. When compared to other cards of the Geforce 4 series such as the Geforce 4 ti, this card suffers from much lower framerates. If you are looking for a card that can play movies and do BASIC things, then i suggest perhaps dishing out your cash for this. Anything more and I'd suggest you steer away from this horrible card.
