I was looking for a new shampoo for my dog. He has itchy, sensitive skin and every shampoo the vet recommends to help seems to have the strongest odor. Sometimes I'm sure which is worse - the dirty dog smell or the clean one. My husband is really sensitive to strong smells and he couldn't even stand to give the dog a bath with some of the shampoos we'd tried.

Anyway, I was ordering something else from 1-800-PetMeds and needed a few more dollars to get my free shipping so I thought I'd try a new shampoo. I ordered the oatmeal and aloe shampoo and I'm so glad I found it. It is non-prescription and is made to soothe and remoisturize dry, itchy skin. The smell is very light and pleasant and not at all overpowering. It lathers nicely and rinses out easily. When I give my dog a bath, he's always so soft and clean smelling.

This shampoo is safe for dogs and cats over 12 weeks of age. It says that won't wash off flea and tick medication like Frontline or Advantix. If you are looking for a mild shampoo tha won't irritate your dog's skin, this is the one.
