Odd Mom Out By sndfan2 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

"Odd Mom Out" is a lighthearted chick lit book that is perfect for summer reading.

The main character of the story is Marta Zinsser, a rebel with a mind of her own, who after breaking up with a married man several years earlier, visits a sperm bank and has a beautiful daughter of her own, Eva.

The story begins several years later when a nine-year old Eva and mom Marta move to Seattle from New York to be closer to Marta's parents. Eva wants desperately to fit in and be popular, and there's just one thing holding her back...Odd Mom Out, Marta.

This is a fun story about discovering who you really are...at any age. I laughed out loud several times when reading this book, which is a sure sign of a winner to me.

This is the first book I've read by Jane Porter, and I've already recommended it as summer reading to several of my friends.
