Odyssey Elementary V1 stem

The odyssey elementary stem is quite unique in itself. It is like no other stem every developed, and has later influenced many other aftermarket BMX manufactures to use similar designs. And knowing that this product is from Odyssey means that you can be safe knowing that Odyssey is a very respected company in the BMX world and they create top-notch products. The stem itself, like I said, is very unique. The stem uses only one large bolt to hold both the fork and handlebars in place, while most other aftermarket stems uses 6 bolts. Two in which to clamp the fork to the stem, and four to hold the handlebars in place. Odyssey has come up with a wedge design where the single bolt compresses two wedges in the middlle outward into two wedges that hold the bars and fork. This creates a very powerful hold, and works very well. If you tighten your bars enough they will stay in place forever. Though, do not tighten to hard, because the the power of the wedge design could actually crush the bars themselves. (Yes, it's that strong!) Overall, this stem is a great buy and will not leave you with a wasted investment.
