I was looking for the perfect Father's Day gift for my husband. This year was his very first Father's Day and I wanted to get him something special that he would have and remember. I finally decided on matching NFL San Francisco 49er Jerseys for him and our 8 month old son. He had wanted them since the boy was born but I consider them expensive and had been telling him…NO! babies grow so fast I couldn't see spending $40 dollars on a jersey baby was going to wear for a month! LOL!

I found the jerseys at the Mall in the Sports Fever store. I am SO glad the sales guy helped me. I am NOT a sports fan (sorry). I had No idea what I was looking for, only that it had to be the 49ers ( Hubby's favorite team) and they had to match perfectly.

The jerseys I finally settled on were $79.99 for the Men's Large and $39.99 for the 2T size for baby. They are red (duh…San Francisco 49ers) with white lettering and stripes with black and gold accents. The fabric is a wonderfully soft, silky nylon. It is NOT the thin cheap feeling nylon you find at other stores (Wal-mart…etc) this is a thicker/heavier nylon. These Jerseys are also “Official NFL Equipment” with the official NFL “tag”/ patch sewn on at the front of the jersey, at the neck V. The inside tag also says NFL Equipment and Reebok.

There's a tag on the bottom left of the jersey that has a space for you to write your name and this tag says, “Engineered by Reebok to the exact specifications of the National Football League”. I guess this is a Big deal for guys?! The sales guy pointed this out and said that's what makes it “special”…its “official NFL gear”.

The jersey also comes with a players name and real numbers on it. In our case I chose Gore (player) and his number is 21.

Of course these are available in what ever team you love and your choice of player. They also had jerseys available with the letters sewn/ embroidered on. But those were $120 for the Men's large and they didn't have it in a small kids/2-3T size. So I got the ones that have the numbers, names, etc silk screened on.

Apparently, I did good. My husband was jumping up and down with excitement. He couldn't believe I had actually gotten these jerseys for them. He immediately got baby dressed in his jersey and himself and we went out to the store. I tell you what, the two of my guys attracted more attention than ever. I mean, babies attract attention anyways but this time it wasn't the Mommies and Grandmas that were coming up to see us…it was the Daddy's and the other men. LOL! It was pretty funny! And my husband was SO proud to be showing off his son, his favorite team and the fact that they were matching in “OFFICIAL NFL GEAR”.

Notes: My husband says that the jersey IS comfortable and the fabric breathes well...and BOTH of the guys look awesome in them! LOL!
