Oh My God, She's Stuck! By godfrey884 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We got this Body Glove Bathing suit with built in Flotation ( foam pads on the back and chest for buoyancy) for our daughter when we was 1 years old, so we would feel more secure when she was in her little pool. We never left her unattended but to just have the extra safety made up feel better.
The Body Glove is nice, it is a nice bright pink with floral around the neck and SPF 50 protection, stretchy spandex material. She was one years old, the suit said ages 2-3, 18-30 lbs. My daughter at the time weighted 23 lbs.
When we brought it home we set up our daughters little pool, put her new little swim suit on, it was easy to put on, it was a great fit, so we thought.
Away she went playing and having a great time. We took tons of pictures, everything was great.
Like always playtime must come to an end, and it's time to get out of the wet swimsuit, now comes the fun part, the suit was stuck, and I mean STUCK on my daughter. Once this suit got went it was like it shrunk, I know swimsuits do tend to get a little clingy once wet, but this was severe, it took 3 adults to get my daughter out of this suit, The foam pads around the chest were so stiff. One of us holding her under the arms the other two to shimmy the suit off. We came really close to just getting out the scissors and cutting it off of her.
Needless to say since then my daughter never did wear this again and I never did buy another Body Glove.

Oh no! This is so not good. Why on earth did they put this out for sale??? You need to contact them ASAP and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This is an unsafe child product.
That suit is cute enough but I think they should have called it second skin instead of body glove! That is so horrible that it was stuck like that! I would have rated it much lower than you did after that experience.
Wow! When they say Body GLOVE I guess they mean it huh? Kind of scary to have a swimsuit stuck on your child! I'm sorry you had this experience but thank you for sharing. I'll know to avoid this product!
Such a good idea, but I don't I agree if it takes that many adults to get it off its not worth it. Thanks
It would be pretty funny if it wasn't your baby, eh? Too bad you didn't film it for AFV.
This sounds like a nice, safe item..until you try to take it off! I can imagine you trying to get this off of her.
unbelievable! I hope you at least wrote to the manufacturer to tell them of the problem, because that is just horrible to have happened!
We had the same problem when we put one of these on our son. He never wore it again. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that's not good to have such a tight swimsuit for a child. It's probably the foam inserts that caused the problem, maybe they need to re-think that aspect of the suit.
Good to know, i will never buy one of these, my sons hate gettign undressed as it is, this would be so traumatic for them.
