Oil Canvas Painting By jayjay1113 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
While in Costco one day we spotted large oil canvas paintings. Some of them were of fruit bowls and jars or abstract but this oil canvas painting caught our eye. I really don't know what attracted me the painting, maybe the red leaves of the trees or the fact the colours used were beautiful. We actually baught these same colours to our home with from Benjamin Moore.
This painting has five tall, skinny trees in the middle. The leaves are in a deep cranberry red, shadowed with black. I like these trees. They are representative of my family: my husband, me and our three kids. The 'sky' in this painting is not your typical colour of blue but more of a creamy beige. The 'grass' is a mixture of colours: reds, browns, yellows and oranges. The beige 'stripes' down the sides helps fo focus the eyes and gives depth and contrast to an already stunning painting. The frame was included so all we had to do was take it home and hang it up.
This painting hangs in our entry way hallway, overlooking our living/dining room. What makes this painting extra special is that I found in after painting my house and the colours matched! This painting is always an conversation piece when new guests come to the house and we're always happy to say why we chose it.

Beautiful! I have a fireplace & an open wall above it. I have been waiting for free time to make a trip to Amish country to purchase a tree painting there. This painting is really nice. So serene & calming. Love it!
That is a very pretty painting, nothing over the top, but it draws you to it.
