Oil Of Olay Age Defying Lotion By Jennifer Claerr on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased Oil of Olay Age Defying Protective Renewal Lotion recently to combat the signs of aging and help to remove the layer of dead skin which tends to accumulate on the surface of my face. It contains beta hydroxy, or salicylic acid, and a sunscreen.

I have applied it twice a day for several days in a row. In the first few days, I experienced a lessening of the dead skin trouble, but after a few days I began to find the product rather drying. This is an oil-free moisturizer, so it doesn't really hold moisture in as well as something creamier.

I'm not certain if it's my sensitive skin, or the product, but I'm not quite as pleased with it as I hoped I would be. It may be necessary to use a gentler cleanser, such as a cream cleanser, to use this product if you have dry or sensitive skin. I have been using glycerine soap, which may be contributing to the dryness.
