Oil of Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum

A 1.7 fl. oz. bottle of this can be pretty expensive in the store, but I saved some money by finding it at Amazon. com. I have been using this product for about a year now, and I think maybe my skin has "gotten used to" the serum, because I am just not seeing the results I was when I first started using it. At first, I loved this lotion; it made my face feel very smooth. (This serum is supposed to "regenerate your skin's appearance", but I don't know if I'd go as far as to say it had that much of an affect). Now, it is still doing a pretty good job of keeping my skin hydrated, but it is just not the same anymore. To be fair, I do want to point out that I moved from a tropical climate to a much colder one, so that may have something to do with it. I will probably try this product again when summer comes around but, for now, it is no longer getting the job done. Fragrance is listed as the last ingredient, so there's not much in there (and you can tell - the serum has a nice light scent, nothing overwhelming), but this product does contain parabens.
Because its winter and you are in a colder climate, your skin probably needs a richer moisturizer. Perhaps Olay has another type of moisturizer that you can use until summer.
I agree with muskokamom36, you might need a richer moisturizer. I have used Olay facial moisturizers before and they did great to my skin until sometime. I knew it was because of the changing and unpredictable weather here in Sydney. I love Olay though and I still come back to it every now and then.
I tried a sample of this that came in an Olay Holiday gift set, I really liked it and agree that it makes your skin really smooth. Have you tried using a moisturizer over this in the winter? I read somewhere that this serum is more concentrated than the moisturizers and it was recommended to use under a moisturizer and this serum would maximize the benefits. I dont know if this actually works my sample only lasted me less than a week.
