Olay Definity Transformation Slightly Misleading By NPowers on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Olay has a wide variety of anti-aging products on the market. Definity is one of the newest, coming after the Total Effects and Regenerist lines. I have used other Olay facial products for about ten years.

This product claims to not only reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, but correct uneven skin tone. As far as a facial lotion goes, it is okay. It goes on smooth and has a light scent. I have not noticed any reduction in lines, wrinkles or unevenness on my face, however.

I discovered the "luminous" part of the product is actually just tiny golden-colored particles that I suppose are there to reflect light and perhaps camoflage uneven tone and color. I think this is the secret to most of the products out there that claim to give luminocity and brighten the skin. They contain light relfecting particles that give a very subtle glimmer to the skin and in effect camoflage flaws.

I do not notice a big difference when I use this under makeup compared to makeup without it. I have not seen much, if any correction for the slight redness I have at times on my skin.

This product is between $20-$25 for a 1.7oz bottle. The lotion does contain SPF 15 and this is probably the anti-aging portion. It is a nice facial lotion, but Olay has others out there that I like better (like Regenerist). I do not think this product is worth the money.
