Old Country Roses Place Setting
By Sparkle333 onI love dishes, but it wasn't until a few years ago, that I was given my first set of china. I picked Old Country Roses by Royal Albert, because the colors matched my decor. Little did I know that Old Country Roses is the most popular china in the world!
My husband and I decided that he would give me various pieces for special occasions, and that is how I would accumulate the whole set. That's just what we did, and it took several years to get the complete set of Old Country Roses china, that I now own.
One day it hit me that I was getting older, and what on earth was I saving my china for? My 20 year old daughter is likely to want a different pattern by the time she gets married, and there's no sense in just looking at pretty china, so I decided to start using it! I am learning more and more to actually use things, and not just collect them.
The beautiful 5-piece place setting includes, a dinner plate, a salad plate, a bread and butter plate, and a teacup and saucer. Each piece is made of English Bone China, and has red, yellow, and pink roses on a white background, withgold trim. My husband started my china collection with buying me 5-piece place settings for Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc. There are many additional serving pieces to Old Country Roses china, and I will be reviewing some of them. This is a beautiful pattern of china, and one that I enjoy displaying, as well as using.
It's hard to use things that are so gorgeous - I have many things that I just let sit for that reason - glad you are getting both joy and use from this gorgeous set - thanks for the info.
