Old Fashion Color Wood Blocks By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

In this day and age of technology it's sometimes easy to forget some of the simplest toys are the best.

My son requested a few years ago some old fashion wood blocks. You know the kind every one over the age of 30 years old grew up with?

We brought him some for Christmas that year. They are your basic blocks, they come in red, green, blue and yellow. Some shapes are square, some triangles, some rectangular, and some bridge shapes.

I wasn't sure if this would be a passing phase with my son. It's funny here at almost the age of 9 years old he still enjoys playing with his wooden blocks.

They are nothing special, but he uses his imagination to build many different things. He makes little forts for his Star Wars figurines or garages for his Hot Wheels.

I love to see him just sitting down and playing by using his imagination and build whatever comes to his mind.

These blocks are very sturdy and a great value. Every child should have a set or two of these blocks!

Oh man! I loved playing with wooden building blocks. The ones I had were hand-me downs from my two older brothers. They certainly are long lasting toys. And a great way for kids to use their imagination.
