Old Lahaina Luau

While honeymooning in Maui, we attended the Old Lahaina Luau.It's hard to chose which Luau dinner to attend while there because there are so many.After looking at several travel guides and websites, we decided on the Old Lahaina Luau.It has won many awards and has received glowing reviews.

Upon arrival and check-in, you are greated with traditional Leis and your photo is taken for souvenir photo cards.You may walk around the beautiful grounds or watch the traditional Kalua pig being pulled from the underground oven.As the buffet style dinner feast is ready you may either sit at a traditional table or sit on mats at a more Hawaiian style table.As everyone is sitting the show starts.Behind the hula dancers you watch the beatutiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

Nothing makes you feel like you are in Hawaii more than the traditional music and dance.The atmosphere and beauty of this experience is worth every penny of the high pricetag.The service was wonderful as well.We also liked how all the honeymooners and anniversary couples were saluted and invited to come share in a dance.I would highly recommend everyone who visits Maui to attend this particular Luau.
