Old Navy Jeans
By callmecat onI always end up buying my jeans from Old Navy and recently I've wondered why I keep doing this. Really, it's because Old Navy jeans are cheap. Really cheap compared to plenty of other places. Most of the Old Navy jeans in my closet cost around fifteen dollars or less. Whenever Old Navy is having a sale or clearance, I can manage to get jeans from ten dollars and sometimes even less. But as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. I continue to pay for cheap jeans and am never very satisfied with the purchase. Like, there's something very odd about the fit of Old Navy jeans. The waist area is never a problem if I get my usual size, but pretty much all the time there's too much extra fabric around the butt and thigh area. It's like Old Navy is telling me that according to my waist size, I need a bigger butt and thighs. Maybe it's just me in particular, but I've had other girlfriends tell me they've had weird sizing and fit issues, too. Also, the fabric isn't the greatest quality, it tends to fade pretty quickly and they don't do well under your average wear and tear, I feel. And the stretch factor is nice, but there are issues with that, too. In the morning when I put the pants on it feels just fine, but throughout the day it's as if the jeans just lose their hold or something and they don't fit as well after many hours of wear. I think it's time I start looking at other places to find jeans and I hope this is just an Old Navy issue and not an issue with every other store.
