Old World Apple Basket

This was a gift sent to us. Its very clever. Its a heavy apple basket.
Whats clever about this basket is when you move the handle down it collapses flat into the shape of an apple. Flip the collapsed basket over and its a hot plate/trivet or a cutting board!
I think this is a fairly new novelty item that comes in many shapes such as an apple, rooster, heart, teapot or other shapes. It could hold apples, candy or a variety of items. It could also be used as a decorative item.

I have seen these in round or oval shapes, but not detailed shapes such as a apple. Very cool!
