Oldfashioned Reamer Still The Way To Juice By Amy Thomas on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am totally enamored with kitchen gadgets, there are just so many of them out there for so many different things. My goal when appeasing my gadget addiction is finding the biggest bang for the buck, something me and my pairing knife couldn't do better, and something that works fast!

First, I have to say Oxo Good Grips puts out some really amazing kitchen utensils, although they do trounce over into unnecissary gadgetyness (yes that is my new word for the day), they are on the whole cheap, comfy, and durable. Secondly, if you are a hardcore juicer--stick with your machine!

But, if you are like me and juice every now and then then this is definintely the way to go. Its light, it gets every last bit of nectarious goodness out of your lime without muscle, it doesn't carry heat, and its cheap. Balance your little handled mesh strainer over the cup to catch all the seeds, juice just above, and voila!
