Olympus Mju 700 By EricBauman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Olympus MJU 700 is simply a great camera. The only reason not all categories have gotten marks above four is inherent in the choice of this camera.

When buying a digital camera it is to be expected that there's only a minimum of memory included. In this case the memory included was a small XD Card which I threw in the box without really looking at it. A camera like this, with it's 7.1 MP resolution needs a larger capacity.

Cameras as small as this one don't have lot to do with zooming capacity, if you want that you'd better look for a model that doesn't fit into your back pocket.

The only thing that's not really a choice in my lower marks is the durability. The problem here is a result of one of the great things about the camera though. The screen is huge and spans across almost the whole backside of the camera. If there's so much screen surface, something is bound to get scratched.

So, other than the vulnerability to scratches there's nothing wrong with this camera, that can be used by anyone, even my grandmother.
