Olympus Vn 2100 Pc Digital Voice Recorder By aura on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought this voice recorder for dictating tips and ideas I found online to help with my writing, and to provide audio clips for videos I wanted to make. I've been using it for the past 4 months at the time of this writing.

What I like about it: you can organize your files by folders if you want to use it for different tasks, you can use the Digital Wave software that comes with this to download the audio clips on your computer, battery life lasts for quite awhile as long as you're not using it for hours a day every day, it will pick up every sound around you in highest recording mode

What I don't like: the audio files are in wav, not mp3 (you can convert them easily if you have iTunes or other audio converter software); and you can't download individual files, only entire folders.

Sound quality is good ONLY in the higher formats and on the computer speakers. Package comes with the recorder, USB cable, Digital Wave software, and 2 AAA batteries.

My boss uses this at work. I like if from the standpoint is I can download it, clear his recorder and then type it out. I also like that I can save them in case I need to go back. Thanks

Too bad you can't download individual files. I can see where this may be a pain.
