Omron Digital BP Monitor

I have been required to monitor my blood pressure for several years now.My blood pressure goes up and down constantly running either too high or too low.Keeping my BP stable has been a constant battle for my doctor.
The first BP monitor was not very good at all.Since my doctor prescribed the Omron BP Monitor, I have been able to keep track of my BP much better.I can take my BP on the Omron and get the same reading when I go to the doctor.This tells me that it must be pretty accurate.
There is no hassle with using it.It is very easy to use and is small enough to take any where I go.It can fit into a small space so it lakes up little room in my travel bag or hand bag.
I have been using this monitor now for about a year, and I have had great success in using it.
I would recommend it to anyone who needs to monitor their blood pressure with ease and accuracy.
Update On Apr 05, 2008: Since I posted this BP Monitor, there have many responses in regards to insurance coverage.My insurance covered my monitor, but I can not say for sure that all insurance companies will cover it.Anyone who wishes to know if their insurance will cover the monitor, will need to check with them.They will need to get a perscription from their doctor.Also, the Pharmacy or medical equipment retailer should be able to tell them if it is covered or not.

Sounds like a good product, and it's great that you can carry it around so easily. Does it have a case to protect it?
So sorry you have to deal with blood pressure problems. That is a really scary thing to go through. I had that with my pregnancy and realized how important it was to have a very accurate blood pressure monitor then. Thanks for the information on this one! It can really be helpful to anyone looking for good monitor.
This is good information to know even though I do not need it noe. I had no idea that insurance covered these. If the need arises I will check with them before I buy one.

I should invest in one of these myself, I've been having trouble with my blood pressure being all over the place. I was asked to stop by the doctors office once a week to have it checked but of course that never happened. This would really come in handy.
I have been wanting one but never would of thought an insurance company would pay for one, I am asking my doctore to prescribe one when I go back in later this month ;) Thank you :D

I do not use a moniter but my mother does, I will check with her to see which she has and if her insurance covers it, thanks.
