When I lost my beloved Seiko La Salle stainless watch, I was heartbroken, because it was a true classic. Because it was a gift from my husband, I had a hard time wanting to replace it. Still, because I wear a dressier watch for business and other meetings, its loss left a void in my wardrobe.
One evening, not too long after David died, I was looking through a Macy's advertisement, and saw this DKNY watch. I loved its two tone stainless/gold ion band with a modern, yet classic style. Simple yet elegant, it is suitable for afternoon to evening wear. The dial is rectangular with a very spare mother of pearl clock face. Something I like on my dressier watches.
It is water resistant to 30 feet, and has quartz timing, plus a 2 year warranty. The clasp on this is designed to "hide" within the band creating a gracefully sweeping look. Even though the clasp latches securely, I'm going to have the jeweler add a short chain, to minimize the chances of losing it.
All in all, this classy watch with an affordable price tag is a very good buy for any women who enjoys spare and elegant timepieces.

Beautiful watch froggy! I can understand why it took you so long to replace the one your hubby gave you. I'm sure this one is not a replacement because nothing could take the place of the one he gave you. This is a very stylish watch!

I am so sorry to hear that you had to replace your beloved Seiko La Salle stainless watch when it quit working... Especially since it was an irreplaceable gift from your late husband. It does sound like you are happy with the classy watch that you ended up purchasing. I hope it gives you many years of wear.
