One-Second Ear Thermometer
By donnabc onI am just too impatient to wait around for an old fashioned thermometer (and then to have to try and read the thing)...so, when I saw this, I just jumped on it.Too bad for me I didn't do the research first.Although, the reading is accurate, and fast, there are some definate pit falls to this particular thermometer.The biggest problem I have with it is that it requires "probe covers."Well, I don't know about others, but the last thing I need is another part to keep up with:0)....and of course then there is the cost of purchasing these covers and FINDING them in the store to purchase.Since I bought this model, I have learned that there are other similar thermometers out there that DO NOT require that pesky cover...do yourself a favor and get one of them.
I love the one second aspect of this...all ear thermometers that I've seen have the covers though, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Plus, they are covered in our flex spending healthcare plan, so we just get them that way.
