Ontario Beach State Park By Ally on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I really enjoy frequenting Ontario Beach State Park. Although I would not swim here because the water seems a little mirky for my liking, many do. Durring the summer they have free concerts and free movies.
It is a spot to walk the board walk or pier for a relaxing night, or go to one of the clubs along the beach. Not only home to many night clubs, but also home to many delicious waterfront resteraunts. Abott's, a local homemade ice cream joint, had to open a second location right across the street just to handle the volume of guests.
Th ebeach is always packed. Everyone has at least 1 ride on the carosel. The carosel you'll see there today is a replica of the one that used to be there. The origional one burned down in a fire which was devistating because it was a piece of Rochester history.
If you enjoy boating this is a wonderful waterfront for your sea legs. You can actually reach Toronto, Canada in about 3 hours by boat from this location.
You will find alot of stuff for the kids too. There are many swing sets, a large play ground and a basketball court available too. Also at a near by resteraunt, called Cheeseburger Cheeseburger, they have a kids night with face painting and a magic show.
Come enjoy the oceanic views of Ontario Beach State Park. The parking is free!
