I wasn't sure about this movie at first, for I wasn't a huge fan of Kevin Kostner as Wyatt Earp, but I figured it had Robert Duvall in it, so I had to give it a try. I watched in once, and really liked it. I watched it again, and since then I have loved it. Kevin Kostner and Robert Duvall are wonderful together in this film, as two cattle men driving their herd across the plains. The action comes in when they go by a town that one man, Baxter, has in his pocket, along with the sheriff.. At this point trouble breaks out, and in the end it is the cattlemen against Baxter and his men, with the town in stuck in between. I believe this movie shows the beauty and tranquility of the old West, and how it can be torn apart by greed. The settings in this movie are gorgeuos, and the shoot-outs are riveting. Even with all the action, it even has a good love story in it, so it truly has something for everybody.
