OraPik Traveler Tooth Pick

The Doctor's OraPik Traveler is an interdental metal pick.The packaging claims that it is good for food removal and plaque removal.Two picks come in the package.

The Doctor's OraPik Travel interdental pick is inserted at the gum line where it meets the teeth.It seems to cause bleeding gums the first few times it is used, but this is mentioned on the package.I found it was helpful to remove plaque, trapped food and even a little tartar, but I felt discouraged from using it by the bleeding and the fact that it must be washed with soap and hot water every time it's used.It also needs to be cleaned with alcohol once a week.

This is a rather high-maintenance device, but it can be helpful to get you from dentist's visit to dentist's visit.Probably another product would work better and be less trouble to care for.
