We have an Oreck store in Ohio. I think this sounds like the perfect vac for you. I like how you said it lays flat to get under the chairs and couch. I also like the feature that allows you to go from one type of flooring to another without changing the height of the vac.

Love how it lays flat and how you get so many free tune-ups! I love my Dyson but that thing does weigh a ton and this lightweight vacuum looks so much easier to maneuver.
