Oster 4093 008 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome By masterreviewer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have had many experiences with all makes of blenders... The biggest complaint I found from them is that they do not really stand up to heavier loads. Meaning they lose a lot of their blending ability when you add even the slightest amount of resistence in the jar. The reason for this is that the connections between the motor and the jar are all that nylon plastic type. They can warp and in some extreme cases, break. My parents had an Oster Beehive blender and it was so impressive. It looks so plan, so 1950's for this piece of kitchen machinery can kick some serious blending! All the connections are metal so you never lose power. The controls are super easy with only three options... ON, OFF, and Pulse. I have yet to find anything this item will not blend with ease. My mom wanted to buy us a top of the line blender as a gift for our wedding, but upon seeing the connections, i simply said, save your money and just get us an Oster. Had one ever since and couldn't be happier.
