Oster Black Pearl Horse Shampoo By Jennifer Walker on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have a black bay horse who lives outside and her color fades constantly despite all of my best efforts to keep it nice. When I go to shows, I use Oster Black Pearl shampoo to help her color, and I love it! It does not dye her or turn her black, but what it does do is put a black sheen on her so she appears darker. It helps to cover the red in her mane and tail that are supposed to be black, so she actually looks like a black bay instead of a weird, dark, liver chestnet! It has a pleasant scent and leaves her coat soft, smooth, and shiny. I would probably use this product even if it didn't help her color. I do consider it a little pricey so I try to find it on sale and stock up. However, a 32oz bottle lasts me for a long time!
