Oster Toaster By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After having a terrible experience with the last toaster my husband purchased, we had high hopes for this one. While it was a lot better than the last one, it still wasn't what we really wanted. First of all, it is quite large, and takes up lots of space on the counter. It is a white 4-slice toaster, which I much prefer. It's so much easier if you're making several toasted sandwiches at once. But the biggest complaint that I have about this one, is that it is not heavy enough. When you go to push the buttons that bring the toast down into the toaster, it often flips forward. It just seems like nothing is made to be very substantial anymore.

I did, however, visit the Oster web site, and it seems that they do make heavier toasters, though this was the only one available at Walmart. And they were a lot more expensive, so I guess that you really do get what you pay for. Of course, we will probably use this one until it gives up the ghost, but I will keep my eyes open for a heavier 4-slice toaster. We're improving though, because the last one wouldn't even let you push the toast down. It just kept popping up!

I will not give up...
