Ouch!!! No Waxing For Me! By loveonce1 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Okay, so I guess if pain is your thing than this would be a wonderful product for you to try. I bought this about 3 months ago and was super excited because it didn't require you to heat up the wax. Well, I shave my arms and have forever. I am not sure why i started, but I do it either way.
I waited for my arm hair to grow out just a little so that it would have something to stick to. Then I went throught and made sure that I read all the directions cause I didn't wanna mess it up. I applied it to the top of my arm and put the strip over it. Then I pulled it off as it directed. It hurt prettyy bad, I have had worse pain, but it was up there. It got some hair, but not enought for it to be worth it. The kit says that the excess washed away with water, but it still took time. It left a large red spot on my arm and still left a lot of hair though.
I also tried it on my eyebrows. I think that the product worked really well, but it was hard to keep it in a specific spot. I was worried about ripping off my whole eyebrow.
All-in-all, I won't use it again. It wasn't the worst, but I will stick to shaving my arms and plucking my eyebrows.
Sally Hansen No-Heat Gel Hair Remover

Oh gosh, I can just imagine your reaction when you pulled that first strip off!! And you still used it on your eyebrows?! Girl you crazy! hehe Thanks for the heads up on this product, I will know to stay away!
Can't imagine the pain, it will forever keep me from even thinking about waxing. Give me a good razor, shave gel and tweezers and I'm all set. Thanks for sharing you adventure, can you laugh about it now?
Yeah sticking to shaving is the way to go for mee too. I hate the pain of waxing. I do like waxing my eyebrows, but anything more then that...ouch!
I know exactly what you mean! Pulling your hair out by the roots is PAINFUL! No matter what they say about these types of products they can't change that fact.
It sounds like that Sally Hansen No-Heat Gel Hair Remover was loads of fun. NOT! roflmao! You really have to be careful with those eyebrows... My aunt had a mistake with hers once and ended up having to shave the other off... then it looked so bad that she tried to pencil it in and it ran!!! OMG! My Nana was horrified! Wax and brows do not mix! Stick to tweezing one hair at a time! or use one of those nifty brow guides that I saw somewhere on TV.
I agree, it is just not worth the pain. Thanks
seems alot of us are unhappy with these at home wax kits, I also tried to use the wax on my arms one time, One would think it would work atleast on the arms since to be the finest of hairs, but Nope
thanks for letting us know ..I will never bother to use same product.. I also shave my arms
I cannot imagine the pain of waxing your arms, OUCH! I can barely handle getting my eyebrows and upper lip done, lol. Oh, the troubles of us women ;).
Thanks for the information. I will stay away from this product :0) And I'm a bit disappointed. I have tried quite a few Sally Henson products and loved them all. Oh well, guess they can't be perfect.
