After the birthday party we attended last June 6, we bought this CANON PIXMA 1980 for simple school printing needs of the kids. Our kind of old printer bugged down and it's already asking for a replacement. Some school assignments require printing job like research for my 3rd grader girl and pictures for the Kinder boy.

Wife hates too techie instructions so I check on printers that meet her preferences to avoid any fight, hehehe. This Canon printer really saves me because my wife finds it easy to deal with. When I'm done installing the software we tested its printing prowess and we're happy about it. Having adjustments on the printer setting enables us to save the use of ink. Most of the times we command "Fast" especially on school works and even on pictures.

Of course ink usage will depend on the settings and the paper being used. Printing text alone is fast and neat even on the fast mode. We use Standard mode for pictures using a photo paper. The printer performs well until now. The only issue I have with it is that it has no tray to catch the printed materials. If there is everything will be perfect, especially for wife.
