Our connection exemplified

This was a gift from my mother to me. I cherish this very much. When my mom was pregnant with me, she read to her growing belly. When I was little, she read to me constantly. When I was a little older, she was the one who taught me how to read. She was the one who inspired my love of reading when I was a child.

I love the closeness of the mother and daughter and how interested the little girl is in what is being read to her. The hands on the figurines are quite lifelike and detailed. I love the pastel colors painted on the little sculpture. I also like the folds in the clothing which give texture to the figures.

I'm not sure of the exact name or model number of this figurine. It is not stamped on it. I tried to google it, but I couldn't find it. So unfortunately, I couldn't find the price or estimated worth. To me, it's priceless because it is a symbol of the bond my mom and I share. Not only that, it is of an early bond, one fostered long ago.
