Our Dream Cake Come True By JennEm on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Our wedding cake came from a local bakery called L&M. They are known around town for their delicious cakes at decent prices.

We had a small wedding (50 guests) and wanted something simple and unique to go along with the rest of our wedding.

This cake was absolutely beautiful. It was romantic and lovely without being too traditional. It was delicous poundcake covered in buttercream icing with a layer of lavender fondant draped over the top and decorated with sugar calla lillies, which are the flowers I carried in the wedding.

This cake was absolutely unique. I saw something similar in a bridal magazine and showed it to the bakery and told them the changes I wanted. They understood exactly what I was looking for and make it just perfectly.

The cake got rave reviews from the wedding guests. Most picked off the fondant because, let's face it, fondant doesn't take that good. The buttercream layer underneath was delish, and the cake itself was moist and yummy.

This was definitely a highlight of our wonderful wedding.
