Our New Water Purifier By poshpost on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My parents' old water purifier needs a filter replacement but the brand is no longer existent. So there are no more replacement parts. So I got them a new one, the Megafresh Mineral Water Purifier. It was on sale, with a $4-discount.

I forgot how many liters is the water storage area, but it is bigger than their previous unit. The magic filter is thick so when the water passes through it, the major and big particles have already been removed. Next stop would be the mineral cartridge, with several layers of stone. On the box, it says andesite stone, but I do not really know what it means.

But oen thing that we are sure of is that the taste of my parents' drinking water has greatly improved. And the purifier has replacement parts! Yehey! Our tap water at home is really laden with impurities and with this purifier, our water has become crystal clear, just like water should be, not cloudy or reddish.

We are very happy with this purchase. And by the way, the tap is magnetic, so there is no problem with spills. So water is conserved.

There are bigger units for this brand, for those who need a bigger capacity of water storage.

Cons:

One thing about this though, the frame of the purifier is quite bulky and needs to take up a lot of space in the kitchen. It is just good that we have quite a big kitchen, but this is going to be a problem to those who living in housings with small kitchen space.
