OUT! Cat Spray Urine Stain Odor Remover
By Willow onMy cat is getting old, and sometimes he fails to use his litterbox. To get rid of urine stains and odor, I bought a bottle of OUT! Cat Spray & Urine Stain & Odor Remover. The product is sold in 24 fl.oz. spray bottles (larger refilling bottles are also available) and is said to be able to deal with cat spray, urine, hairballs, vomit, feces, and other stains. It can be used on carpets, floor, furniture - practically any water-safe surface.
I have used this product only for cat urine, so I do not know about the rest, but when it comes to removing uring stains & smell, I can say that OUT! is okay, but not perfect. It works best on fresh stains, and even then repeated applications are often required. Older spots, even only a day old, take more work, and usually some of the smell will still linger.

I have used OUT for my older cat, now passed away, and I have to agree with everything you posted here!
Bummer that it doesn't work on day old stains. I mean chances are if you are gone somewhere it MAY be a day before you see one :0(
I need to try this. Our litter box has a lid but sometimes my daughter does not lock it all the way ans when our cat goes, it leaks out the crack in the back. Some urine has gotten into the basboards of the bathroom floor and I have not been able to get the smell out, thanks for the info.
You know, since you brought this up, I have a male cat that was neutered at about 4 mos. Recently, I noticed he started doing the tail wiggle and spray thing. I thought cats didn't spray as such after they were fixed. I guess I was misled or misunderstood. Our boy is about 7 years old now. He did not start doing this spray thing until about three months ago when I caught him in the act. He hasn't done it in the house as of yet, but I am going to keep a close watch on him just in case.
