Out! Training Pads By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you have ever had a new puppy in your home, this is probably one of the most valuable items you could ever purchase.

It is a liquid proof pad, that has an attractant in it that draws the puppies to it, hopefully making them want to go on it. These pads are 21.5" X 23.5" and they absorb quite a bit of fluids and are almost leak proof. They also help to control odors, which is a huge plus over the old fashion way of using old newspapers.

The package that we gets has 32 pads in it and after it has been used you simply roll it up and throw them away, although I do them like I used to do my babies diapers, I save bread wrappers to fight odors even more ;) .

A great way to start a new puppy is to keep the pad in the same spot and once a puppy urinates you will want to wipe it up using the cloth side, do not spank the puppy or rub his nose in it but place him on the pad allowing him to smell the urine you just cleaned up. Once he uses the pad on his own praise him!

We have had great luck with these pads and are very inexpensive, give them a try.
