Outfish Live Bait! By K-mo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Terroreyz don't look like much compared to some of the fancy lures these days, but they sure do produce better than most of them. Terroreyz are a little rubber minnow shaped lure that has a jig head inside it with red eyes. Snook, Tarpon, and Redfish cannot resist these. I've been fishing some days with live bait and have caught nothing, then I throw one of these on and I catch fish for the rest of the day. Am I saying these can outfish live bait? Sure enough. I've caught so many different species of fish on these from bass to catfish and jack crevelle to dolphin. There's 3 different ways to retrieve this lure that I have found effective. First, give it short hard jerks near the water's surface, the lure will dart from side to side and then drop a little just like a wounded minnow. Second, Just reel in the lure at a medium speed, this causes the lure's tail to vibrate like a real minnow that is being chased. Third, let the lure sink all the way to the bottom and then pop it up and down off the bottom, this method will catch some really big snook! I can't stress enough how great this lure really is!
I added a picture of a really nice Tarpon I just caught on a Rootbeer colored Terroreyz. The Tarpon just can't stay away from these lures!

Whoa! That is a huge fish you caught there with those bait!!!
I enjoy the clever name...Terror Eyes. Who doesn't appreciate a good pun?
woah - if only I could snag a snook long enough to bring it in for even a picture! We'll have to check these out. Thanks! But we surely have lots of tarpon over here on the SW coast of Florida, so either fish would suffice.
what a great catch!
That looks like the fish that got away, glad you took a picture to share with us!
