This is what is called a donut bed. It is made for cats, though I think a small dog would also fit inside. This bed is soft with a fleece fabric covering. The bottom is padded with about 1/4" thickness.

There is a roll all around the bed that makes up the sides, thus the donut name. It is this roll that makes my cat very happy. It hugs to his body and gives him a little warmth. He loves to put his paws on the roll and lay his head on his paws.

This bed comes in other colors as well as beige. This particular size is 18" x 15" at the outer most points and as you can see from my photo, it is a little too small for my large cat. This bed is nice for medium and small cats. They curl up in a ball and fit ever so snugly.

This bed is machine washable, but we just vacuum it out so our washer does not get full of fur. If it needs washing, I would rather wash it by hand outside or in the stationary tub.

It would be nicer if this bed was a bit more padded at the bottom, but for this price, it is fine. We just add something like a comfy towel underneath the entire bed and that does the trick.

If I had a cat that actually fit in this bed, I would definitely buy it again. Our cats could never resist these donut beds.
