Overnight Safari In Michigan By Aktiv8_F8 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Ever wonder what happens after hours at the zoo? Binder Park Zoo offers summer nights in the park for a minimal price. Binder Park Zoo is located in Battle Creek, Michigan. For just about $40.00 per person (price may vary), your family can stay at the zoo and see the happenings of the zoo at night. All participants are able to see the background scenes of the zoo and learn about the career option of zoology.
After registering online, your family will get to learn about the many animals at the zoo, see the zoo employees feed the animals, care and clean those that need it, hear and learn about all animals from the zoologist on duty and so much more. At night, everyone gets to have a pizza party and stay a night at the park in a pavilion. There is maximum security when staying at the zoo so parents should not worry about everyone's safety.
This is the best short weekend vacation my family has ever taken. It is a learning experience that can be taught no where else.

Ok, this works for me and the family. I am from GR and live in Metro Det. now. I am always looking for an excuse to get to the other side of the state. I love this idea! Thanks for the tip.
How Cool! I know Tom Funke who was director there and is now Pres of MI Audubon, but I never knew about this opportunity. Thanks for sharing.
