I tend to be frugal. Can't help it really. Anyway, I only purchase some household items when they are on sale or if I have a coupon. Palmolive tends to fit both of these categories. Anyway, I have found that Palmolive in generaly actually DOES leave my hands soft (who would have thought the commerial actually was telling the truth?). It also has great cleaning power, even the the greasiest foods. I love the way the bottle is shaped kind of like an hourglass, it makes holding the bottle much easier with soapy hands. And the new Spring Sensations Fresh Green Apple is my absolute favorite dish washing liquid. I mostly only buy this unless I can get something else for basically free. And after you wash your dishes, instead of a yucky soapy smell, you'll smell the yummy green apple smell.
