This big turner has a nylon head and a silicone handle. Just like the name suggests - Jumbo - the turner is extra-large, as well as long (14 inches). I bought it primarily for cooking ribeye steaks, they can be very large and therefore hard to turn with a regular-size turner. I had to use the help of a fork or some other utensil, and I would still struggle with the steak, sometimes dropping it back in the frying pan in the middle of turning and splashing greese all over. This Pampered Chef Jumbo serves me very well for this task, making it easy to flip over even the largest steaks. I also use it to turn big pancakes, eggs, and fish. The thin, flat head easily slides under; I lift the food items without worrying that they might fall off the turner.

The turner can stand heat up to 450 degrees. It is dishwasher safe. Being made of nylon, it is good for non-stick cookware.
